Whipped Cream Reviews

From beginning to end, this story delivers on all levels. The romance, mystery, characters, writing, WC logoand setting all combine to give a great, entertaining story that will have you begging for a sequel. If you’re a fan of the m/m romance genre and often are disappointed by the lack of great mysteries, day to day details for the characters, and realistic relationship settings—this book will give you exactly what you’ve been craving.

Val at Obsidian Bookshelf

Like Coffee and Doughnuts is destined to become an m/m mystery classic. There is much here to praise, including the strong and complex plot, the vivid setting, flawless writing, and non-stop funny dialogue. The sex scenes are hot, explicit, and layered with strong emotion.”

Coffee Time Romance

"Occasionally you come across a hero so unique you cannot help but fall in love, and Dino Martini is that and so much more. Dino takes chivalry and good manners to a level not often seen in a contemporary romance, but combine that with Seth’s bald humor and edgy attitude and you have a very irresistible duo."

Haley at Admitting The First Step:

The combination of old fashioned Dino and happy go lucky Seth worked for me. The two were opposites but complimented each other to a tee.

Rainbow Reviews

First, let me say that I hope this will not be the last we see of Dino and Seth. Elle Parker takes a situation such as friends who become more, and makes the story believable. This is no 'jumping into bed and everything is okay' story line as the two men struggle with their feelings and how their lives are changing.

Respected M/M reviewer Elisa Rolle:

Coffee / Dino is old fashioned like the real Italian coffee (sorry, American coffee is not the same...), and like the coffee, you have to stop and savor it, you can't drink it while hurrying somewhere else; Doughnut / Seth is a burst of energy, hyper-calories that you have to run a marathon to digest. Can two men as different match and love? yes, as well and good as coffee and doughnut go together.

Erotic Horizon

My first book by this author, and i like what i have read. Not only were the characters likeable, but enough of my fantasies were all rolled up in Dino to really enjoy his style. Seth with his bouncy personality and attitude is that adrenal rush that makes the book a page turner. I will be adding Ms.Parker as one to watch – I like her style.

Kassa @ Live Journal

For those readers of the genre who want a fabulously solid story with little to no angst, focusing on the mystery while giving a satisfying romance you will want to read this book. Preferably with coffee and doughnuts nearby as well.

The story reads very much like great PI series such as the (early) Spenser series by Robert Parker and has a classic feel to Dino Martini.

"There's really nothing bad to say about this book, and plenty of good things. Dino and Seth are clearly meant to be together, and you'll cheer them on even as you fear for their lives."

Literary Nymphs

In truth, these two are so different, it’s hard to believe they’re friends and even harder to believe that their relationship could turn into that of lovers. But it does, and this is where Ms. Parker excels. Her change in their relationship is well-timed and believable and their bantering dialogue snappy and fun.
